Justin Roberts, Jewellery Historian and Specialist, Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Goldsmiths and the City of London will speak about the jewellery of the Jazz Age, a time of endless parties, prohibition and hedonism.
The talk will be looking at the development of jewellery in the early 20th Century and how art movements such as Cubism and Modernism had an effect on the evolution of design, as well as looking at the different cultural influences on Art Deco jewellery from China, India, Africa, Egypt and South America.
